Narrative Description of Project: |
|
The consortium Catalyst and CAPMEX entered into an agreement with F?rderverein (FW) to accomplish two principal tasks: (1) conduct a study of the feasibility of a German Agricultural Futures Exchange for Europe, and (2) develop a detailed design for the proposed exchange along with a step-by-step implementation plan.
The Consortium delivered a detailed, implementable, conceptual design of an agricultural futures exchange that will cover all essential elements of exchange structure and operations. The design was responsive to the German and European needs and circumstances. Eventually the agricultural exchange ?WTB Hanover? was established based on the step-by-step recommendations provided by the Consortium. Ass an additional element, appropriate programs for education and training of market participants were designed.
