The ?Banque Centrale des Etats de l?Afrique de l?Ouest? (BCEAO)applied for a credit from the International Development Association (IDA)in order to modernize the payment and clearing systems of eight countries, namely: Benin, Burkina Faso, C?te d?Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo.
CAPMEX?s challenge within the frame of this project was the production of detailed technical specifications and terms of reference for a low value payments automated clearing system.
