ADEX was set up as a subsidiary of the Athens Stock Exchange with the intention to start functioning within less than a year as the derivatives exchange of the Greek market. It was planned to start trading operations in options and financial futures contracts through the fully electronic OM-CLICK trading system.
CAPMEX provided consulting and support services to ADEX to guarantee the successful implementation of the new exchange within the given timeframe. |

- Development of a capital markets structure
- Drafting of a company structure, marketing plan and development of a strategy concept
- Market organization (membership, market maker system, incentives/penalty system for market makers/specialists, market transparency, order-book, etc.)
- Organization of trading (trading rules, emergency procedures, trading hours, matching regulations, market supervision, ?rder types, combination orders, trading without system, escalation procedures, etc.)
- Definition of rules and regulations
- Development of stock-exchange lending procedures
- Definition of product range and product specification
- Development of index management tools
- Implementation of a fully electronic market supervision and monitoring system as well as the establishment of reporting tools
- Training of ADEX staff and market participants
